Data sources and licences
We only use open sources whose licences allow reuse, including commercial reuse. We name the source next to every data point.

How we estimate
Chance of seeing the aurora: we compare NOAA's Kp forecast with an approximate aurora visibility boundary for the city's geomagnetic latitude (dipole model). It is an estimate, not a measurement.
ISS passes: calculated in your browser from current orbital data (CelesTrak) with satellite.js. We show passes when the station is sunlit and the sky is dark.
Webcams
We publish webcams from official portals whose terms allow it and webcams shared with the owner's consent. We show low-resolution images, keep no archive and apply no face or plate recognition. Owners can request removal.
